Okay, I've had enough of a break so it's back to school for me. Deciding on which school is a tough one. I've narrowed down to A&M or Capella University, both have really good curriculum's in the field of Marketing. Capella is strictly an online program; whereas, A&M is both on campus and online. I'll let you know when I make a decision. I hope to be starting in the fall if not sooner. Good luck to me!

Nine girls loaded up and headed to Destin, Florida to celebrate Brandy Senn's last hooray as a single gal. We stayed in a swanky condo in Bay Town Village at SandDestin. Our unit overlooked the shopping, entertainment and restaurants in the Bay Town Village. We were able to walk a few hundred steps each night to dinner and entertainment.

Check out our photos...

The Tourism Bash is an Annual Event sponsored by the Alabama Tourism Partnership. The event provides an opportunity for industry partners to speak face to face with legislators about issues facing the Tourism & Hospitality Industry.

Three bills up during the 09 session are:
1). The Entertainment Incentive Act (which passed both the house and senate early in the session - yeah!)
2). School Start Date (up for vote soon)
3). Seven Day Alcohol Sales

Call your legislators and ask them to vote "yes" for the other two bills. If you need talking points on the issue please let me know and I'll email them to you. Thanks!

I am excited about participating in the Huntsville/Madison County Leadership Connect program. Below are a few photos of some of my new 40 friends. We had our first "get to know each other" meeting at Sci-Quest a few weeks ago. Our Opening Retreat was last week and included team building activities, the Myers Briggs personality overview and results and our group presentations on specific areas related to Huntsville. We overnighted at Camp Cha La Kee in Guntersville and enjoyed dinner together at Top O' The River.

Valentine's Day, February 14, 2009

Saturday night, Greg and I went to Mark and Julie's house for a couples Valentine's Party. We had some fun playing Wii and games that Mark and Julie came up with. Julie chose 6 words that the guys had to use in a peom. The 6 words were love, truck, beer, naked, snore and I'm Sorry.

Greg's Poem:
Like a dove in the clear blue sky, you are my LOVE
When I'm drinking BEER and shooting deer, I know I should be with you
Driving in my TRUCK with you, I'm full of luck
When you SNORE that's okay, I'll shut the door
I LOVE what we are making, when you are NAKED
That's my best story and I'm sorry.

There were 5 other men who got down on one knee to recite their poems and I've never laughed so hard in my life. Greg's poem was really sweet and he won a prize for best poem, chocolate!

Marks game consisted of using a toilet cleaning brush between two legs, waddling to the other person holding toilet paper between their legs and trying to connect the two...it was funny to watch.
